Describe a place that is good for people to live in. You should say，

where it is

how you knew this place

what is it  like and explain why it is better than other places to live in

这是一道非常典型而且比较简单的地点题，时态上可以选择用一般过去时，如果要描述自己去过这个地方的话，或者是一般现在时进行描述，就是客观的去描述它的特点。

在思路方面，其实只要有在宜居这个方面有优点的地点，都可以作为本题的描述对象，比如说它的气候，地理位置，大小城市都是可以的，但是要注意有些题目它是会限定条件，就是要避开自己家乡，如果有这个条件的话，就一定要注意这一点。

在结构方面，可以去遵循从粗到细的原则去描述，比如说首先介绍这个城市的基本信息，它的地理位置，它的名字，它的别称，它的历史，它是否popular等信息，然后介绍一些比较通用的信息，题干中也说到了，就是如何知道这个城市，比如什么时候去过，是通过谁的描述了解了这个城市。

最后要扣题。重点篇幅介绍为什么它是宜居之地，因为我们可以看到它后面写了why it is better, 对吧，那你就要去表现出它在宜居这个方面的优势到底在哪里。可能是空气好，可能是购物比较方便，又或者是交通比较方便，这些宜居的特点，其他的那些跟宜居没有太多关系的，就不是那么扣题的。

好，接下来来举一个例子。

Well the city I want to talk about is Jingdezhen, located in Jiangxi province the central and eastern part of China, Jingdezhen is a famous porcelain city with a history of thousands of years of porcelain making. The name of China comes from Jingdezhen because the porcelain produced in Jingdezhen was called China by European in ancient time.

I've traveled there several times because I'm fond of the artistic atmosphere there and there are many pandas and sculptors in Jingdezhen. They often host some art exhibitions and art auctions which I am absolute paradise for art lovers like me, and it also has a world's own the university named after ceramics, Jingdezhen Ceramic University.

By the way, the admission letter of this university is even made of porcelain. Well as for why I think the city is beautiful and is really appropriate for people to live in, it is mainly because I love our ceramics and almost everything in this city is related to porcelain, street lines, landmarks and many buildings are made of porcelain. Living in such a city you may feel like you are in ancient China. Apart from that, Jingdezhen has a high degree of greening, good air quality and no heavy industry. I like Jingdezhen's weather, warm in winter and cool in summer, so you may feel very comfortable if you live there. People living there are also very friendly when you need help, like asking for directions the locals will be helpful.
